These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Asteris mobile application ("the app"), operated by Softcid LLC, Wyoming, USA ("we", "our"). By using Asteris, you agree to these Terms.
1. Entertainment Purpose
Asteris provides astrological readings, chart interpretations, and compatibility analyses for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. Content generated by the app does not constitute medical, financial, psychological, legal, or any other professional advice. Do not make important life decisions based solely on astrological readings.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Asteris. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consents to your use of the app.
3. Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You may create only one account per person.
- You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Asteris offers free and premium tiers. Premium features require a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process payments directly.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We cannot process refunds directly.
5. Free Trial
Asteris may offer a free trial period for premium features. Each user is eligible for one free trial. The trial is tied to your account — reinstalling the app does not grant a new trial. After the trial expires, premium features require a paid subscription.
6. Partner Data and Synastry
When using compatibility (synastry) features, you may enter another person's birth data. By doing so, you confirm that:
- You have that person's permission to enter their birth data.
- The data will be used solely for astrological compatibility calculations.
- You will not use the app to harass, stalk, or make unwanted contact with another person.
7. AI-Generated Content
- Readings and interpretations are generated by artificial intelligence based on astrological chart positions.
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or unexpected outputs.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated reading.
- You should not rely on AI-generated content for any important decisions.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits or trial restrictions.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit app content or readings.
- Attempt to bypass security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of Asteris are owned by Softcid LLC. AI-generated readings are provided for your personal use and may not be republished commercially without permission.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse (e.g., mass account creation, automated access), or otherwise harm the service or other users. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Softcid LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Asteris. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Asteris is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that astrological calculations will be perfectly accurate.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
